Generative AI (GenAI) Policy

The International Journal of Applied Medical and Health Sciences recognizes that generative artificial intelligence (GenAI) and AI-assisted tools may support authors during manuscript preparation. Such technologies may be used responsibly for limited assistance with language, grammar, readability, and presentation, subject to appropriate human oversight.

Responsible Use
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, scientific validity, and integrity of their manuscripts. Any AI-generated or AI-assisted content must be carefully reviewed, verified, and appropriately revised by the authors.

GenAI must not be used to:

·       Fabricate or alter research data, results, or conclusions;

·       Generate false or misleading references or citations;

·       Create or manipulate scientific images or research evidence inappropriately; or

·       Replace the authors' responsibility for scientific analysis and interpretation.

Disclosure
Where substantive GenAI assistance has been used in preparing a manuscript, authors should disclose the use of the tool and its purpose in a statement placed before the References section.

Declaration of Generative AI Use
During the preparation of this manuscript, the author(s) used [Name of AI Tool/Service] for [briefly describe the purpose]. The author(s) subsequently reviewed, verified, and revised the content and remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the manuscript.

Routine use of basic spelling, grammar, formatting, or language-correction tools does not normally require disclosure.

Authorship
AI tools cannot be listed as authors or co-authors. They cannot accept responsibility for the manuscript, provide authorship approval, disclose conflicts of interest, or fulfill other responsibilities required of human authors.

Editorial Consideration
The editorial office may request clarification regarding significant use of GenAI where necessary. Undisclosed or inappropriate use of AI that affects the reliability, originality, or integrity of a manuscript may result in appropriate editorial action, including rejection, correction, or retraction.

Author Responsibility
Use of GenAI does not transfer responsibility from the authors to the technology provider. Authors must independently verify all AI-assisted content and ensure that the submitted work complies with the journal's ethical, scientific, and publication standards.
