Ethical Statements
The International Journal of Applied Medical and Health Sciences is committed to maintaining high standards of research integrity, responsible authorship, ethical conduct, and transparency throughout the publication process. Authors, editors, reviewers, and other contributors are expected to act honestly and responsibly.
Research Ethics
Research involving human participants, patients, animals, or personal data must comply with applicable ethical, institutional, and regulatory requirements.
Where applicable, manuscripts should provide information regarding ethical approval, informed consent, patient confidentiality, animal welfare, and clinical trial registration. Authors are responsible for obtaining the necessary approvals before conducting the research.
Authorship and Contributions
Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made substantial contributions to the research and manuscript. All authors must approve the final version and accept responsibility for their contributions.
Individuals who have provided assistance without meeting authorship criteria should be appropriately acknowledged.
Research Integrity and Misconduct
The journal does not accept fabrication, falsification, plagiarism, inappropriate image or data manipulation, duplicate publication, or other forms of research or publication misconduct.
Authors are expected to report their research accurately and disclose relevant funding, conflicts of interest, and other circumstances that may influence the work.
Concerns regarding potential misconduct may be investigated, and appropriate editorial action may be taken where concerns are substantiated.
Conflicts of Interest
Authors, editors, and reviewers should disclose any financial, professional, institutional, personal, or other interests that could influence, or reasonably appear to influence, their judgment.
Editors and reviewers should not participate in the evaluation of manuscripts where a significant conflict of interest exists.
Data Availability and Reproducibility
Authors should maintain appropriate research data and supporting materials underlying their findings.
Where ethically, legally, and practically possible, authors are encouraged to make relevant data or supporting information available to enable verification and reproducibility. Restrictions relating to privacy, confidentiality, intellectual property, or other legitimate considerations should be clearly stated.
Editorial and Reviewer Ethics
Editors and reviewers are expected to evaluate manuscripts objectively, fairly, and confidentially.
Unpublished information obtained during editorial or peer review must not be used for personal, academic, or commercial advantage. Reviewers and editors should disclose relevant conflicts of interest and follow the journal's established editorial and peer review procedures.
Artificial Intelligence
Authors remain responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and ethical compliance of their manuscripts.
Generative AI tools may be used for appropriate purposes such as language improvement or formatting assistance, but they must not be used to fabricate data, references, results, or other scholarly content. AI tools cannot be listed as authors.
Where substantive generative AI assistance has been used in preparing a manuscript, authors should disclose its use appropriately. Authors remain responsible for verifying all AI-assisted content.
Editors and reviewers should not use generative AI tools to process confidential manuscript or review materials where this could compromise confidentiality.
Complaints and Appeals
Authors and other stakeholders may submit complaints concerning editorial procedures, publication practices, or ethical matters to the Editorial Office.
Authors may also appeal editorial decisions where they believe a significant factual or procedural error has affected the outcome. Complaints and appeals will be considered fairly and objectively, with additional assessment undertaken where appropriate.
Corrections, Expressions of Concern, and Retractions
The journal is committed to maintaining an accurate and reliable scholarly record.
When a published article contains a significant error or raises a substantiated ethical concern, the journal may publish an appropriate correction, clarification, or Expression of Concern. Where serious errors or misconduct substantially affect the reliability of the published work, the article may be retracted in accordance with appropriate editorial procedures.
Post-publication actions will be documented transparently and linked to the affected article where practicable.
