GenAI Policy

The IOASD Journal of Business and Management Studies supports the responsible and transparent use of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and AI-assisted technologies in scholarly publishing. These technologies may be used to assist authors in preparing manuscripts; however, they must never replace independent academic judgment, critical analysis, or the intellectual contribution of the authors.

Acceptable Use
Authors may use GenAI tools for limited editorial assistance, including improving language quality, grammar, spelling, sentence structure, formatting, or readability. The use of AI must remain under the direct supervision of the authors, who are responsible for reviewing, correcting, and validating all AI-assisted content before submission.

Author Responsibility
Authors retain full responsibility for every aspect of their manuscript, regardless of whether AI technologies were used during preparation. Authors must ensure that:

·       The manuscript reflects their own scholarly work and original intellectual contribution.

·       All facts, analyses, interpretations, and conclusions are accurate and supported by appropriate evidence.

·       AI-generated text does not introduce fabricated information, inaccurate citations, misleading statements, or biased interpretations.

·       The manuscript complies with the journal's ethical standards and publication policies.

Transparency and Disclosure
When Generative AI has been used in preparing the manuscript beyond routine language editing, authors should disclose its use in a dedicated statement placed before the References section.

Suggested Statement

Declaration of AI-Assisted Writing
The author(s) used [Name of AI Tool or Service] during the preparation of this manuscript for [brief description of the purpose, such as improving language, organization, or readability]. The authors critically reviewed, revised, and verified all AI-assisted content and accept complete responsibility for the accuracy, originality, and integrity of the final manuscript.

The use of common writing utilities, spell checkers, grammar correction software, reference management applications, or standard editing tools does not require disclosure.

Research Integrity
Generative AI must not be used to generate, manipulate, or falsify research data, financial information, case studies, survey responses, statistical analyses, references, citations, figures, tables, or research outcomes. Authors are expected to maintain complete transparency regarding their research methods and ensure that all reported findings are authentic, reproducible, and ethically obtained.

Authorship
Artificial intelligence systems and AI-assisted technologies cannot qualify as authors or co-authors. They cannot take responsibility for the content of a manuscript, approve the final version, respond to peer review, or satisfy the ethical and legal obligations of authorship. Only individuals who have made substantial scholarly contributions and meet the journal's authorship requirements may be listed as authors.

Editorial Oversight
The Editorial Office may request clarification regarding the use of AI technologies at any stage of the editorial or peer-review process. If undisclosed or inappropriate AI use is identified and is found to compromise the reliability, originality, or integrity of the work, the journal may take appropriate editorial action, including rejection before publication, publication of a correction, withdrawal, or retraction of the article, in accordance with the journal's publication ethics policies.
